The Job Profit Control Pack: Three Real Spreadsheets That Show What A Job Actually Made

Updated by BYOND Enterprises

Job Profit Control Pack ($7) cover Job Profit Control Pack ($7) preview

Getting the estimate right is only half the job. The other half is knowing, after the crew’s paid and the materials are bought, whether the job actually made money, and whether the month as a whole was profitable or just busy. Most home-service owners can answer “did we have a lot of work this month” instantly and “did we make money this month” only with a shrug.

This pack is three spreadsheets built to close that gap, each covering a different point in the same job: the Pricing Model turns your real direct cost, time, and a target margin into a suggested sell price before you send a quote, so the number you quote already protects your margin instead of hoping it does. The P&L Tracker totals revenue and expenses across twelve months on one tab, with Net Profit and Net Margin rows that update automatically as you enter monthly actuals, so you know within minutes whether last month was actually profitable. The Business Performance Spreadsheet tracks revenue, cost, units, profit, margin, and unit economics by record, meaning by individual job, not just by month, so you can see which specific jobs are pulling your numbers up and which ones are quietly losing money.

Used together, the sequence is price it right, track the month, then check it by job: three angles on the same number, not three unrelated tools. Every formula is already built. Enter your own numbers and none of the three requires a bookkeeper or an accounting background to read.

Questions

What's actually in the download?

Three real spreadsheets, sold as one pack: the Pricing Model (cost-plus pricing calculator, pre-wired with cost, labor, markup, and margin formulas), the P&L Tracker (monthly profit and loss across 12 months with a live Net Profit and Net Margin row), and the Business Performance Spreadsheet (revenue, cost, units, profit, margin, and unit economics tracked by record, in both xlsx and csv).

Do I need Excel to use these?

The files are .xlsx with working formulas already built in, so Excel or a compatible app (Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc) that opens .xlsx and runs formulas will work. Nothing to install beyond that, no subscription.

Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?

One-time. $7 once, the three files are yours to keep and reuse on every job going forward.

How is this different from the free Estimate Pipeline Dashboard?

The free dashboard tracks whether an estimate gets decided. This pack picks up after that: pricing the job correctly before you quote it, then checking after the fact whether the job and the month were actually profitable. Different stage of the same job, not a lighter version of the same tool.

What if it doesn't fit how I run things?

7-day no-questions refund on every paid asset in the vault, this pack included.

Your first win

Open the Pricing Model, run your next job's real direct cost and time through it, and read a suggested sell price and margin percentage before you send the quote, instead of pricing off a gut feel.
